Dr. Klorer is the founding director of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s graduate art therapy program. Her teaching philosophy revolves around making a seamless connection between research, clinical work, and teaching. Her books, Expressive Therapy with Troubled Children (Jason Aronson, 2000) and Expressive Therapy with Traumatized Children (Rowman and Littlefield, 2017), along with numerous book chapters and articles in professional journals, are all based upon her clinical work. In her writings and the teaching videos that she creates, Dr. Klorer attempts to show students the human side of clinical work. She considers herself one of those lucky individuals who can honestly say that she loves her work.
